Lance and I traveled throughout Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, interviewing cowgirls who ran their own ranches and participated in the sport of “Rodeo”. I wrote ten songs for the play, plus a special song, “Alice Greenough”, whom I met in Tucson on this musical journey and to whom I dedicate this album. Alice was worlds champion saddle bronc rider and bull rider in 1929 and is an inspiration for our cowgirls in rodeo today.
This is a wonderful CD about the women who ride rodeo and run ranches!
